Photos of today's DIY Network "Craft Lab" taping are posted. Visit the photo album for details of the adventure. Craft Lab will air in Fall of 2006 to a potential audience of over 34 million Americans.
It's been a full and interesting day, taping an episode of Craft Lab for the DIY Network. We taped an entire show about making Handmade Paper and had a blast! Jennifer Perkins hosts the show that's scheduled to air in Fall of 2006.
Check out these photos from the day. More photos to come.
I had an interesting chat with a gentleman on the plane today, about a range of topics, including the history of paper. Later, I remembered this excellent site and I want to share it with you. For all that you ever wanted to know about the history of paper, visit Paper Online. It's a super reference for paper hobbyists and teachers.
I made it to Burbank today, minus my luggage. Yes, that's right, the bag with all my papermaking supplies and handmade paper samples was left at the Denver airport. Apparently, I made my United Airlines connection but my luggage did not.
Rehearsals start tomorrow at 9 am at the Media City Teleproduction Center, with taping at 4 pm. Should be lots of time to get everything ready, run through it a couple of times and then do the show.
I was chatting with Gillie from Fairchild Bridal Group today (publishers of Bride's, Modern Bride and Elegant Bride), talking about reply cards and what to do with them after the wedding is over.
We spoke about how many guests write personal notes to the bride and groom on the cards. These become special momentos of the special pre-wedding time, and of the friends and family who were invited to share in it.
Gillie suggested that brides create a Reply Card Album. Using a simple scrapbook album or a guestbook such as this Handbound Guestbook from Botanical PaperWorks, affix the reply cards to the page. And voila - a beautiful keepsake album to treasure for years to come!
