How did I make these flowers? From plantable seeded Garden Greetings paper! I used 6x9 sheets of handmade paper in green, lavender, yellow and pink.
First, I tore the paper from the outside into the center, so that the strips radiated from the center. Then, I folded the paper in half, then half again. Because the paper wasn't a square, it folded irregularly, which added interest to the flower shape.
Next, I used floral wire and attached it to the base of the flower. Finally, I curled the "petals" (strips of paper) to add dimension and drama.
I created almost a dozen flowers during show set-up - it was good fun!
