I made an exciting discovery on the weekend. In an effort to reduce, John and I reorganized our basement on Sunday, taking out toys that our kids have outgrown, and giving them away to people who need them. While going through old boxes, I found a beloved toy from my childhood - Dataman. Here he is:
Dataman is a math video game from the late 1970's. When I got this toy for Christmas, I was the coolest kid in the class. No one had ever seen a video game in 1977. It was awesome.
And guess what's the best part? Dataman still works! I plugged in a 9V battery and with the click of the ON button, I was transported back to my childhood. We've decided to give our six-year-old daughter Dataman for Christmas. Shhh....don't tell her!
