It's a beautiful day here in Winnipeg and I'm at work catching up on emails and projects after time off last week. Sounds like last week was a good (and interesting) week at Botanical PaperWorks. It started with a bang on Monday when our team arrived at work to find that the City had shut down the water in order to fix a hydrant that has been leaking since January. We're so glad that they've FINALLY fixed it, but a little notice would have been nice.
Here's a photo that my Dad just sent me via his iPhone of my daughters enjoying the afternoon. My parents and kids went strawberry picking this morning and then cooled off in the sprinker, clothes and all!
If you look really closely at the picture, you can see St. Francis watching over the lawn. The statue was a grad present for my Mom when she graduated this spring with her Masters in Spiritual Formation.
Tomorrow, we're hosting Karen and Andrew for a hands-on intesive papermaking day. They'll spend the morning with head papermaker Kim and the afternoon experimenting with color with me. I hope to have some photos to share.
