In addition to remembering yesterday, we did a lot of Christmas baking at our house. Gingerbread men and women, butter tart square, soda bread and chocolate cake to be made into a chocolate trifle, aptly called Easy Chocolate Trifle. Speaking of this trifle recipe, I'm not a fan of Cool Whip but the recipe is truly easy and always gets eaten up when we bring it to potlucks. So it's become a holiday season staple in our household.
Have you noticed that I've been putting the Botanical PaperWorks logo on most of my pictures? I experienced one too many cases of PHOTO RIP-OFF and decided to put on our logo in an attempt to make plagiarism a little more difficult. Have you had people take your photos without getting your permission? If you have any tips on how to combat this issue, please share. Thanks!

I'm just itching to get my Christmas baking started. Perhaps I'll get a few things done this weekend. Your gingerbread people look great!

Those gingerbread guys will get their icing later in December. Doing the icing is the best part, right?! Let me know what you decide to make yourself. It's fun to hear what others are doing!

those cookies look delish!
i've heard there are some applications that you can install to prevent right clicking on and downloading of photos, but haven't looked into it yet.

Hi Shannon - let me know if you find such a program. It's all to easy to grab and go in our cyber-based world! Heidi

You can set it in code. My brother did it to the LoveLife site. My photos get stolen all the time. It's a bummer, but it's one of the risks of being online.

Thanks for the tip, Kal. You're so right, it is one of the risks (and trade-offs!). Heidi

Check out my blog for my list of Christmas baking this year. I think I put it in my last post.

Yummy looking list of baking on your site, Kara. I might try the cream wafers this year. Soooo yummy! Is this recipe similar to the one that you use? http://www.christmas-cookies.com/recipes/recipe76.cream-wafers.html
