Here was our day yesterday baking up some delicious Valentine's Day cookies. First, start with this Valentine's cookie recipe from Martha Stewart.
Roll out the dough and cut out hearts, hearts and more hearts.
Bake, and when golden, remove from oven and let cool.
Mix up pink icing (I like the gel food colorings from Michaels), apply and sprinkle liberally with sprinkles...
...and colored sanding sugar...
...and non-pareils of every shape and color!
The result? Cookies for school and cookies for our traditional Reimer family Valentine's Dinner with enough for all the grandmas and grandpas and aunts and uncles. Yum!
