In these days of anticipation as Christmas approaches, are you enjoying the scenes of Christmas and the holidays around you? In the evening after the kids are in bed, I sit on the couch with a book or my laptop and soak up these sights:
On the buffet in our dining room, gilded pinecones are displayed in a handmade pottery bowl. The bowl was made by a potter who lives full-time at Brereton Lake and we visited her last summer during our week at the cottage.
The Playmobil Nativity scene with the add-on Wisemen kit is a hit every year.
This cookie tree smells heavenly and will taste delicious when we smash it to bits on Christmas Day.
What sights are you enjoying this Christmas?

I love your Christmas Tree. So cool. Did you use a pattern or anything for the shape?
I'm also a fan of the playmobil nativity. I have some characters tucked away in storage somewhere!

Hi Kara, yes, the cookie tree uses a set of cookie cutters that helps you build up the shape. Please feel free to borrow it if you'd like! ~Heidi

Love the Cookie tree, it's so effective. I've gained so many great ideas from this stationery blog; printed and handmade. Thanks for the great tips.
