Time for Spring Showers and Summer Weddings

Love_2_plantme

It's prime time for planning Spring Wedding Showers and Summer Weddings. A fresh plantable favor perfectly fits the theme of blooming love and growing families. This combination favor and place card is one of my favorites because

  1. it saves paper (and trees) by combining the favor with the place card
  2. it's made with tree-free plantable paper
  3. it's available in your choice of ribbon and paper color to make a completely personalized piece.

More plantable wedding favors available here.

Spring is in the air

Flowering_spring_favors_2

Thinking Spring? We love the Share and Blossom plantable favor for Spring wedding and baby showers, Mother's Day tea parties and Easter brunches. We're in the Spring frame of mind these days at Botanical PaperWorks (even though there was a minor snow storm last night!) and loving fresh Spring colors like yellow and green.

For readers in Toronto, you can see Botanical PaperWorks at the Eco Wedding and Lifestyle Show this weekend. We'll be in the Virtual Vendor area of the show.

Something interesting that we read yesterday: artist Kal Barteski posted several inspired pieces on  her blog, created on recycled and plantable papers. See the post for art created on Botanical PaperWorks' plantable seed paper and on repurposed Starbucks coffee sleeves. The woman with the hat is even based loosely on a photo of me from my post two weeks ago. Very cool!

I'd like to send out some thank you! Thank you to Becca from the blog Benton Park Photography for recommending Botanical PaperWorks' Designer Series of plantable stationery! Check out the very cool blog of Meg Morley called Oh, Pickles! for a post about us as well as a great read on printing, paper and more. And also see Blog for the Bride for a post on our plantable invitations. Thanks for your support, and a happy weekend to you!

Looking your feedback

Plantablefavorsnewcolors_2 I'm looking for your feedback on these new colors of the Celebration Grow Favor. Which colors do you love? Which ones do you not care for? Do you actually just prefer the piece in white (see website for pics in white)?

Leave a comment or email me directly.

All comments will go into a draw for a stack of these lovely plantable cards.

Thanks!

Share & Blossom

Shareblossom_front_seedsI think this plantable favor (plant it, the paper grows wildflowers!) perfectly captures my sentiments for 2008: Share and Blossom

That's something that I want to do more both personally and professionally. It's why I like blogging, because it connects me with others. It's also why I like reading other people's blogs, because it encourages me to grow and blossom.

Take for example my current hobby project. I'm sewing a dress. It's not something that I've done much of but I was inspired by Kal's post about sewing pillows, and then by this shimandsons post about a Built By Wendy pattern. So in between my Christmas shopping and family gatherings, I managed to acquire the same dress pattern, sleuth out some killer fabric and sew a dress (I'm 2/3rds done).

It's good to know that this old dog can learn a few new tricks, to do new things and to blossom into more today than I was yesterday.

And how cool to encourage others to do the same thing. Some of our awesome customers are handing out the Share and Blossom favor to friends and work colleagues in the new year. It's so encouraging and so symbolic. Each time the lucky recipient sees the pot of growing wildflowers on their window sill, it'll be a little reminder to intentionally reach for growth in 2008. Share...and blossom.

We are humbled and grateful for the cyber-support that we're receiving for Botanical PaperWorks' eco, plantable stationery. Today, we would like to thank the blog A Belle Abroad for writing about our Plantable Love Tag combination favor & placecard. The Love Tag a fantastic product that saves on paper and recycles into wildflowers. And A Belle Abroad is a good read, written by an American ex-pat living in Singapore.
